What is IELTS?

ELTS is the International English Language Testing System IELTS is recognised as a secure, valid and reliable indicator of true-to-life ability to communicate in English for education, immigration and professional accreditation. Last year, more than 2.2 million tests were taken globally.

Who’s it for?

IELTS is accepted as evidence of English language proficiency by over 9,000 organisations worldwide. These include universities, immigration departments, government agencies, professional bodies and multinational companies. IELTS has two versions:

  • The Academic test is for those who want to study at a tertiary level in an English-speaking country.
  • The General Training test is for those who want to do work experience or training programs, secondary school or migrate to an English-speaking country.
